For my first official post (yayyyy!!!), I thought I would just share a little bit about me and why I decided to join blog land. So, here we go!
I'm a twenty-two year old wife and mother from a small town. I graduated from college in May of 2013, and now I work full time. My husband asked me to be his "girlfriend" when I was twelve years old, and almost eleven years later, here we are! We have a beautiful, smart, sassy little three year old girl. Our day-to-day life basically consists of trying to find a balance...just making it all work one day at a time.
So, what brings me to blog land? I have been following a couple blogs for quite some time now. I enjoy reading through the struggles, the fun, and the lives of the bloggers I follow. I had been considering starting a blog, but something happened just recently that really kick-started it for me. Since our baby is almost four, we have been really catching a good case of baby fever. Actually, we have had baby fever since she was two. I had been having some health issues for a few months and after a few appointments, I've been diagnosed with Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Basically getting told that you're infertile, you're not ovulating, and that there are medications, hormones, and the possibility of treatments in your near future can really tear down a woman's hope and self-confidence. It kind of leaves you feeling inadequate...like, it's my job to have babies. Granted, I was told that I shouldn't have been able to have our first child, and I DID ANYWAYS. This should be no different. However, this go-round, it's a little different. I physically can't get pregnant without the help of my doctor.
Long story short, this blog is really for me, just to hold myself accountable--I'm doing this for me. I want to be able to look back at these blogs and see a sense of what I was thinking at that stage, or just to remember little things that our little one does, or things that we've done, or things that I felt like were key in our journey. I'm blogging for me, to share my struggles and my stories! If this blog should find you, I hope you enjoy! :)
